The epic Jasmine by Bharati Mukherjee is an unfathomable anecdote about the change and educational encounters of a Panjabi young lady from India. The life of Jyoti is told from her perspective when she is twenty-four years of age, and pregnant with the child of Bud Ripplemeyer, an injured broker who is more than twice Jyoti’s age.
